The Davis Partnership Architects used 103’ long Douglas Fir Timberweld trusses to clear-span the worship area with open space and warm natural materials.

Over 30 years ago, Timberweld arches and “lock-deck” provided lasting character for this small Montana chapel. “Lock-deck” was the solution for the warped roof.

Newman Center Chapel

Faith Lutheran Church
- Johnstown, Colorado

Costs were kept to a minimum with simple low budget Timberweld trusses that helped create a warm and friendly atmosphere. 6,000 sq/ft including offices, foyer, classrooms, kitchen, and nursery were built by “volunteer laborers for Christ” from the Lutheran Missouri Synod.

The critical delivery schedule made possible by Timberweld’s close coordination with Tim Kathka, Kathka Loptein Architects.

Bethel Synagogue

8 side by side Timberweld radial arches converge at 35’ in the center above the 80’ clear span designed for a seating capacity of 1,000. Timberweld beams bring warmth, economy, and distinctive design to this structure.

John XXIII Catholic Church
- Albuquerque, New Mexico

The focus of this local land mark was the 60’ diameter Timberweld dome referred to as the “crown” of John the XXIII Catholic Church.

All of the curves and straight beams and connecting hardware were fabricated from precision Timberweld shop drawings. The local Timberweld sales engineer coordinated delivery so the jobsite assembled dome would drop into place. The construction team included Timberweld from the concept to completion.

St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church
- Lewisville, Texas

The 1999 winner of the International “Faith and Form” Religious Art and Function Award by INAI Studios, and Jim Bransford Architect. Timberweld Douglas Fir radial beams were the solution to a contemporary and functional design.

Three dimensional visual analysis by Timberweld Engineers confirmed the design of the laminated timber roof system.
